What would Samuel de Champlain think about the prospect of being upstaged
by the massive steel structure created by internationally renowned New
York artist Roxy Paine.
The piece is costing the gallery about $1 million and is scheduled to
be complete and erected by Labour Day.
Paine’s tapered metal tree, titled One Hundred Foot Line, will be
rooted in a massive concrete and metal slab and thrust upward 30.5 meters
